In The News:
Attached is a news link to CNBC about a new (ish) Hyundai auto plant in Georgia. They currently are focused on EV’s. What’s interesting is the use of Robots which are now doing QC checks. It’s worth a watch.
I also found it interesting that the “peak” job levels for this plant may fall well short of the stated 8500 and even if that number is reached, it could take years. Read for yourself below. There is also some historical commentary about previous tax incentives that may not have panned out.
Newsworthy:
I ran across this article in the Atlantic (potential paywall warning) and I was fascinated by the title. I think you will be too. To be clear…you aren’t imagining things…”Sludge” is real. Send me a note at my substack if you cannot open it and I will summarize this article next week if that turns out to be the case…I know get with the tech…

Something To Make You Think:
I’m not sure what this says about the state of the overall worldwide population (Ok I am sure) but the top three movies worldwide so far (box office earnings) were Ne Zha, Lilo and Stich and The Minecraft movie. Hope springs eternal…maybe.

Tip of The Week:
I was pretty clear last week that I am a JAWS fan. Let me clear again this week. DO NOT WATCH JAWS 2. It is perhaps the worst sequel to ever be made. I am not sure what made Roy Scheider sign up for this one other than perhaps a gambling debt. It is sooo bad it is almost good. Almost. Spare yourselves and take my word for it.
Friday Fun:
Switching things up a bit this week. Here is an entertaining and surprising article on the 30 most beautiful college campuses in the United States. Enjoy! And perhaps debate.
Thanks for visiting.
